A Pathway Towards Easter

Lenten Retreat 2012

St. Thomas More Catholic High School, Dane Bank Av, Crewe
Sat 24th March 2012, 9:30am-5pm

Introduction

This retreat has been organised by the clergy and laity of LPA (Local Pastoral Area) No. 9 for the benefit of the parish and communities of St. Gabriel's Alsager, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Crewe, St. Anne's Nantwich and St. Winefride's Sandbach.  It will be a beneficial spiritual preparation as we approach Holy Week and Easter.

We are delighted to be able to welcome Bishop Brian Noble, our Bishop Emeritus who will be leading a workshop and presiding at out joint parochial celebration of the Mass of the Fifth Sunday of Lent which will close the retreat.

We are privileged to welcome Father Denis McBride C.SS.R who will be delivering our keynote address in the morning and the afternoon.  His words will be complimented by Sister Cathering Darby SND and Dr Marian Tolley who will help to break open the scriptures for us as we prepare to celebrate the great events of Holy Week and Easter.

The day will close with a celebration of Mass for the Fifth Sunday of Lent at 5:30pm in St. Thomas More Catholic High School.  This Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Brian and the clergy of the Local Pastoral Area.  The Mass replaces the Saturday Vigil Mass in our four parishes and attendance is open to everyone.
